Directions for Accessing the
Department of Defense LOGSA Web Site

To access manuals on the DOD LOGSA site, follow the instructions below.

If a "Security Alert" displays, click "OK" or "YES."

On the web page that appears, click on "Text Version."

Select "ETMs Online" under "View:  Publications" on the right side of the screen.  Read and accept the security agreement on the next screen.

Click "Enter the site" in the menu of the next screen.

Enter the National Stock Number (less the first four digits) of the piece of equipment in the box labeled "Enter NIIN" and click "Search."

This should bring up a list of all publications relating to that particular vehicle.

Manuals for a specific type of equipment can be found using the "EM" number.  Below are "EM" numbers for some common units used by wildfire agencies.

5 Ton 6x6 - EM #0039

2-1/2 Ton 6x6 - EM #0037

Hummer - EM #0030

CUCV's (5/4s and Blazers) - EM #0070

"EM" numbers for other equipment can be accessed by clicking on "Table of Fielded CD-ROMs" near the bottom of the screen.

NOTE:  The type of manual can be determined by the last two digits of the manual number as follows:
